UNICEF offering a $90k equity-free Investment on blockchain startups

Its yet another tech revolution time, Blockchain is already becoming a thing! and as of my thoughts, we shouldn’t focus only on the crypto coins alone. Perhaps we should go deeper, know the main root source and go SUDO on the chain of command.  UNICEF earlier announced it’s looking to fund early-stage startups building on the blockchain sector.

“We are interested in companies that use distributed ledger tech in new, groundbreaking, ways that are scalable, and globally applicable,” UNICEF said. UNICEF has called for applications from startups developing on open blockchains and seeking seed fund of between US$50,000 and US$90,000. The companies creating the solutions must be having working prototypes that open source, or are willing to make the project open source.

UNICEF will provide technical assistance to the UNICEF Ventures team, which includes a dedicated blockchain lead and computer science team hosting and sharing data platforms.  Selected startups will also work with expert mentors, and be connected to UNICEF’s network in order to assist in scaling and maximising impact.

Applications are open here, until February 28. the startups should be focusing on “the potential to benefit humanity”.
