PESAPAL INTEGRATES AMERICAN EXPRESS

PesaPal an online payment platform service being offered for individuals and businesses to make and accept payments in Africa through simple, safe and secure methods has recently announced the introduction of American Express into its payment platform. American Express card holders will from the 27th of February, 2017 be able to use their cards to transact on any online payment portal that uses PesaPal.

PesaPal in previous years has had a  couple of successes in releasing their services the community it has partnered with Banks, Mobile Network Operators, and Credit Card companies to give consumers as many payment options as possible. For businesses, we offer a timely settlement of any payments to their bank account of choice.

This new option opens up businesses using Pesapal to wider markets as the region sees a surge in foreign investments and Kenya continues to be East Africa’s biggest business hub. This is especially convenient for businesses in the tourism sector who will add to the variety of booking and payment options available to international clients.

PesaPal also offers an online booking engine for Hotels through its platform ReservePort. Through this platform, a user can access an easy-to-use hotel booking system for all types of accommodation and hotel operations. The objective is to offer a simple online solution, which enables hotel reservations online, and at the same time, simplifies daily administration.

Kenyans looking to get an American Express card can do so via Equity Bank who partnered with the financial services provider to offer both the green and gold cards.

All card users are assured top-notch security when they use their cards online as PesaPal is PCI DSS compliant and also employs bank-level security features. Around the clock help desk is also available for any concerns and issues raised by users on the platform.

PesaPal services are available in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Malawi where users can transact using mobile money, Visa, and MasterCard. American Express will also be available in all these markets with expansion into Nigeria is projected in 2018.
