The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Accra has announced the appointment of Ashwin Ravichandran as its new Incubator General Manager.

Before joining MEST, Ashwin had worked with startups in the recruitment, lifestyle, education and data + social impact sectors. He joined the MEST team in July 2015 as a Technology Teaching Fellow niche in design, scale/strategy and innovative technologies.
On duty he will oversee various operations from incubator operations and strategy, startup support and growth, stakeholder engagement, business development and new partnerships for the incubated companies. His responsibilities will double up as well in this position helping the incubated companies build and scale ; and ensuring MEST becomes on of the best incubators by expanding its presence in the local ecosystem.
“I think the key initiative for any incubator GM is to make sure that the companies operate as seamlessly as possible. Speaking to each company and making sure that they have as many resources allocated to them. Besides that, just making sure that the roof doesn’t cave in,” Ashwin said while interviewing with Kelechi Udoagwu, the “PR girl” at MEST Africa.
Ashwin replaces Emmanuel Quartey, who left the role December last year after 9 months. Emmanuel was previously a Marketing and Communications Fellow (September ’13 – June ’14) and Head of Products (June ’14 – April ’16) at MEST Accra.
