Apply for AfroTech SF – The Largest Black Tech conference in San Fransisco
Black don’t crack, So our brothers and sisters in Tech at SF are coming together to hold the ‘BET’ of Tech known as AfroTech, a conference where the founders and employees of some of the fastest-growing tech startups will present the tactics & strategies they use to grow their products and businesses. Conversations will range from raising venture funding, combining tech and culture, user design workshops and growth hacking.
The Event set for 10th – 11th November in San Francisco is set to tackle four topics From the Technical to strengthening businesses:
- Design, Data & Engineering
- Entrepreneurs & Startups
- Biz Dev, Ops, & Marketing
- Collegiate (Sub track)
Students will pick a general track and are required to attend student sessions at the conference. Through the student workshops and meetups, you will be introduced to start-ups and companies looking to hire you. Get your questions answered and meet others in your field.
Getting on one of the Interesting Tracks on the Conference is Startup Pitches, AfroTech Startup Competition will bring the world’s top black early stage startups together on one stage to compete for the coveted AfroTech Cup, a cash prize, and the attention of media and investors. The judges include Blavity Co-founder Aaron Samuels, YC’s Michael Siebel, 500 Startup’s Monique Woodard, and Kapor Capital’s Brian Dixon. How to Qualify as a startup on the registration panel a startup must:
- Be launching to the public for the first time and have little to no prior press exposure
- Be for profit and should not have raised more than 150k in funding.
- Have a working prototype that can be demoed
