The 3rd African Entrepreneurship Awards (AEA) open for applications
The AEA is not the normal award ceremonies people attend to be given prizes and various accolades but it’s more of a business award journey aimed at helping African Entrepreneurs to actualize an idea that is really complex and needs a business solution capped with a technological edge to gain profits that will better the community and improve health and lives of people living in and around the community.
When you submit your business idea proposal to the African Entrepreneurship Award, you embark on a journey that puts you at the center of a community of entrepreneurs and mentors in Africa and around the world. As a community, AEA is dedicated to helping you improve your business idea and achieve your goals of building something awesome in Africa.
The African Entrepreneurship Award offers $1 million to all eligible African entrepreneurs with an existing business or just an idea for one. The Award Journey is made up of 4 rounds of mentoring and starts by you taking a few minutes to submit an idea for Round 1. Once you hit the submit button, you begin a journey with real entrepreneurs who have been where you are today.
Applicants must be citizens of an African country, and a minimum of 18 years old as of October 1, 2017. The African Entrepreneurship Awards are looking for applicants in the fields of education, environment and “uncharted”, which denotes a high-impact business venturing into unexplored territory or untested markets.
Applications can be done here and are open until the 20th of April 2017.
