Y Combinator launches Online Startup School

Ever thought of starting a startup but don’t have the necessary tools of trade and relevant experience to navigate through the stages of development all the way to sustainable growth.

Y Combinator, world’s most powerful startup incubator, has announced the launch of an online Startup School to teach everyone how to start a startup. It’s well known for its seed funding for startups. Seed funding is the earliest stage of venture funding where your expenses are paid for as you get started.

The barrier to start a startup is quite high and that is Y Combinator came up with the Startup School following a MOOC structure to help founders deal with investors and acquirers along the startup journey.

Prominent Silicon Valley entrepreneurs such as Jan Koum (WhatsApp), Patrick Collison (Stripe), Steve Huffman (Reddit), Adam D’Angelo (Quora) will offer loads of tutorial videos that will cover a wide variety of topics such as how to get ideas, how to build a great product, how to grow, how to build a culture, how to raise money, and more.

The online Startup School will run for 10-weeks beginning from April 5, 2017 and should be able to accomplish the following:

You can join the over 10,000 people who have signed up already by signing up here

The overall goal of the online Startup School is to replicate much of the Y Combinator experience. The participants, most of whom are expected to be startup founders, will receive guidance from people who’ve started companies.
