SPICE TV open applications for its fashion-technology competition

SPICE TV, a fashion and lifestyle media company dedicated to telling the stories of Africa’s creative sector, has announced it is accepting applications for its fashion-technology competition.

Aptly tagged Fashion Meets Tech, the competition seeks to recognize and feature innovative companies that are using technology to alter the fashion landscape in Africa.

Entrepreneurs with fashion-tech startups, concepts with demonstrable pre-market prototypes or convincing ideas with visual mockups and execution description, can applyby September 16, 2016 to take part in the competition.

Five startups (or concepts as the case may be) will emerge as winners, and will be showcased at the Fashion x Tech Happy Hour event on September 26, 2016 at Maison Fahrenheit, Lagos.

Also, they will be featured in video shorts on SPICE TV, and profiled on TechCabal, a Nigerian tech blog, and its newsletter.

The competition, which is part of SPICE TV’s “Happy Hour Series”, is organized in collaboration with TechCabal and Nairabox, a social digital wallet.

The competition is in furtherance of SPICE TV’s effort of recognizing ways technology is making an impact on the fashion sector. The company, at the Social Media Week Lagos, hosted a fashion and entrepreneurship focused session.
