Nigeria’s Printivo makes it to the 500 Startups’ 20th Batch

Its always nice to get featured, to get the notice from other people. The feeling in Printivo’s office right now this season is so overwhelming after on of the the greatest Venture capital companies in silicon valley :  500 startups shortlists them in their 2oth batch for Incubation.

Printivo  is an opnline print solution launched way back in 2014, creating an ease in seraching for the right print provider, right materials and quality product. In a feature done on Techcrunch in 2015  , Printivo was being compared to one of the greatest print solutions in Europe and the USA : Vistaprint.  in the publication the founder says

Vistaprint has been around for 20 years, so if you live in the U.S. or Europe, ordering printed material online might not seem like a big deal. In Nigeria, however, getting business card and flyers are still a pain that requires multiple visits to a brick-and-mortar shop.

Unlike many companies that offer design and printing services, printivo is one step or lets say few more steps in the game for they offer online templates to the clients, reducing the hustle of thoughts on not knowing what you want to achieve. Being such a small company with great ventures , Printivo’s ultimate goal is to become the primary print outsourcing partner to the over 17 million active Nigerian SMEs.

The 2oth Batch started in January running upto may ending up with a Demo day for the startups incubated, during the stay the companies are offered with lots of  quality services and access to Mentorship, hands-on sessions with startup experts, access to the 500 Family, and a great office space during the course of the program – four months, on the financial benefits it will receive a gross investment of US$150,000 [1] (US$37,500 program fees are deducted, leaving the startups with a net sum of US$112,500) in exchange for a 6% stake.

Printivo is not the only startup from Nigeria to have the benefits from 500 startups,  TalentBase and Aella Credit also will have a chance to Demo soon in the Incubator.
