After doing roundups in most of the countries in Africa, Seedstars is now in Nairobi conducting its Incubation after selectively choosing startups to pitch at the event. The startups that win and are selected from Seedstars Nairobi 2017 on 10 November 2017 also get a chance to compete for up to US$1 million in equity investment at the global final in Switzerland next year.
From the 10 startups that Pitched: Buupass Kenya Limited, ConnectMed, Jobsikaz Africa, M-Shule, PortableVoices Creatives, Sokompare, The Konnector Limited, TozzaPlus, WazInsure, Sinbad TechnologiesLimited, Brilliant Innovations Limited; we actually saw a great competition from the pitches bearing in mind M-Shule and ConnectMed had a chance to pitch at the Startup Battlefield Africa Last month under the social good category. It’s a great thing to see the struggle and the commitment these startups put into the ecosystem and also try to hunt the funds.
Seedstars’ Local events winners will attend the African Regional Summit to held in Mozambique, December 14th. The Event will last for three days bringing together over 800 personnel.
“We are very excited to be able to bring the entire network together in Mozambique later this year and together look into some of the opportunities of the continent and explore how technologies can rapidly improve the current status quo in emerging markets worldwide.” The summit is open to the public, with tickets available here.
