Lagos Startup Week 2017 is themed “Visionary.” is about visionary entrepreneurs whose questioning minds and unconventional ideas are transforming Africa and tackling the world’s challenges.
This year, LSW has lined up over 60 sessions with focus on business growth, strategy, marketing, starting out and so many networking opportunities. They will also unveil an interesting and fresh set of programmes which cuts across various industries, from tech to music to fashion and many others.
The week will feature fireside chats, panel discussions, debates, product showcases, dialogues, investor pitches and masterclasses. For the first time a startup expo will also be held, giving 100 startups the chance to showcase their products.

The Lagos ecosystem has the 9th highest rate of Founders with an Undergraduate Degree at 59% while 93% of them have a technical background, the 3rd highest rate in the world. Lagos startups have one of the lowest rates of Foreign Customers at 6%, suggesting challenges to Go Global (overall average at 23%). Only 11% of startups plan to Go Global.
