Earlier in September DEMO Africa announced a list of 35 startups that were shortlisted from an original pool of 956 applications from 29 Afrikan countries that will undergo the final vetting to launch their products at this year’s launch event in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“We witnessed fresh and exciting innovations at this year’s conference. It was tough choosing our top five but in the end, the winners deserve their titles. We wish all of the attending businesses every success with their products,” said DEMO Africa executive producer Harry Hare.
The Event that happened Last week had 5 startups from Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa, announced as winners:
Kenyan companies M-Post and ZOAme, Morocco’s SOS Santé, Nigeria’s GoSpot, and South Africa’s The Tribe’s Rooster. Meanwhile, Peachwater’s Power Stove from Nigeria was given a special African Technology Foundation Impact Award.
