9 startups to graduate from C4DLab Nairobi

Nine Kenyan tech startups are set to graduate from the C4DLab incubator at the University of Nairobi next month as their incubation periods expire.

Disrupt Africa reported in June of last year the C4DLab had launched its Africa Technology and Innovation Accelerator (AfTIA) programme, running pre-incubation, early-stage acceleration, and growth-stage acceleration programmes, and offering startups training, mentorship and funding.

The graduation of the nine startups in November will pave way for the announcement of another round of admission of new promising ideas.

Graduating startups include M-KULIMA, which utilises the Internet of Things (IoT) to increase farming efficiency, andLearnmine, an online platform connecting learners with tutors.

Also exiting the C4DLab are home security startup CipherTech, anti-fraud security system for the insurance industrySilicon Savannah, and Proolabs, which leverages on data analytics to provide insight into fraud.

Careers advisory platform Elimu Advisor, mobile-based savings startup M-ASCA, social networking platform Vospine, and music monitoring startup REQUEST complete the list.
