Google facilitated its first ever Launchpad Start in Johannesburg, South Africa which was held at JoziHub. The event the event ran from 27th to 31st of March 2017. This is a one-week startup boot camp for emerging startups who are given the opportunity to test the practicality of their ideas in terms of strategy, user experience and usability, the technology used, market strategy and the existing business opportunities in the market.
The Selected Startups will go for Google class 4, which will kick off on July 17th, 2017 at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Francisco and will include 2 weeks of all-expense-paid training.

Flutterwave- Nigeria
- : Flutterwave is building technology and infrastructure for digital commerce across Africa starting with Rave, an app that helps merchants accept mobile money, cards and bank account payments across 4 African countries.
Paystack- Nigeria
- : We help businesses in Africa accept payments from their customers.
JUMO Marketplace– South Africa
- : Jumo is the largest scale, lowest cost financial services marketplace for emerging markets
