The drones main aim is to to provide aerial security surveillance for the state and institution using it’s very own locally built drones by the Arts and Design, and Engineering Students and staff in partnership with the International College of Aeronautics and Aviation Studies and will be capable of securing the institution’s campus and the State. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode further stated his Government would do everything within its power to promote and fund the drone project as a way of encouraging those involved It’s highly commendable that the Nigerian Government is employing drones for this purpose. Drones are more affordable, easy to operate and can cover more grounds. If used effectively by security agencies, crimes may be on the decrease in the State. This should empower other states around Africa to borrow this idea and realize how much technology is the key to a better future.
