Teke Taxi – a corporate focused taxi solution

Teke Taxi is a product of teke limited. It’s a tech solution majoring with cooperate taxi companies to link clients and cab companies offering transport. They began way back in 2013 where they were offering POS systems to the clients which was becoming a major challenge with the rapid change of advent technology like uber. The starter idea was to do taxi but later they changed after viewing the market and new strategies of approaching the consumers.

What problems do want to solve ?

Manual dispatch system – we wanted to avoid direct link of the client and the driver. Due to a lot of risks on both parties involved.
We wanted to link clients to the nearest taxi available. Since the system is in real time, the company dispatches the nearest taxi in your client region hence reducing the long wait of taxi.
We also avoid forgery of the vouchers. Since everything happens in real time there is a log of what has happened,

What technologies and platforms did you use?

[quotes quotes_style=”bquotes” quotes_pos=”center”]When we started it was pos system, which was a major challenge on the clientele side, so with major changes in the rise we decided to go mobile and web based way.[/quotes]

Would you explain to the consumers how your system works ?

So there is the Teke Taxi system, which has the admin side and the client side, the admin side configures the drivers, the taxis and management of client requests in real time, the client is mobile based, so they push their request to the system, of which the system checks the info log of the client captures the location coordinates, pushes them to the driver’s side ( the one available near your location ) . The specific cab corporate system dispatches the driver so no direct link of the client and the driver.

What challenges did you face when beginning

Mapping coordinates was a the biggest issue then,
